Presentations
A Presentation is a page type for slide decks. You build each slide from a fixed layout and fill in the text, pick a theme for the whole deck, and present it fullscreen, by hand or with autoplay. You can also present an ordinary page or a canvas without making a deck.
Create a presentation
- Click New page in the sidebar and choose Presentation.
- If you don't see it, turn it on in Settings → Workspace → Page types under Visibility. Once a workspace has a presentation, the type shows up on its own.
You can also ask the AI assistant to draft a deck or change individual slides.
An existing page can't be turned into a presentation. Create a new presentation and copy the content across.
Build slides
The editor shows your slides in a strip on the left and the selected slide's fields next to it, with a live preview.
- Add slide adds a slide after the current one.
- Each slide in the strip has Move up, Move down, Duplicate slide and Delete slide.
- Slide layout sets what the slide contains.
| Layout | Fields |
|---|---|
| Title | Title and subtitle |
| Title + bullets | Title and bullets, one per line |
| Title + text | Title and a paragraph |
| Two columns | Title, and a heading, text or bullets in each column |
| Image | Title, an image from a URL with a description, and text |
| Quote | The quote and its attribution |
| Section | A title on its own, to divide the deck into parts |
Every slide also has Speaker notes. They are for you while you edit and are never shown on the slide.
A deck can hold up to 100 slides, and a slide up to 12 bullets.
Choose a theme
Pick a Theme in the toolbar: Aurora, Midnight, Paper or Sunset. The theme applies to every slide, and Aurora handles the layout, so slides stay consistent.
Present
Click Present in the toolbar. The deck opens fullscreen.
- Press
→,SpaceorPage Downfor the next slide. - Press
←orPage Upfor the previous slide. - Use Previous and Next at the bottom, which also show which slide you are on.
- Press
Escor click Exit to return to the editor.
Autoplay
To let a deck run on its own, tick Autoplay in the toolbar, set the Seconds per slide (2 to 300), and tick Loop if it should start again after the last slide.
When you present a deck with autoplay on, it starts playing straight away and a thin bar shows the time left on each slide. Click Pause to stop and Autoplay to continue. You can still move between slides by hand.
Present a page
Any document page can be shown as slides. Click the Present icon in the page header. Each Heading 1 starts a new slide, and the text under it becomes the slide's content. Navigation works as above. Autoplay and themes are only available in presentations.
Present a canvas
A canvas can be presented frame by frame. Add at least one frame to the canvas, then click Present in the canvas toolbar. Frames are shown in order from top to bottom, then left to right. Use the arrow keys, Space, Page Up and Page Down to move, and Esc to stop. The canvas can't be edited while you present. See Canvas.
Editing with others
Presentations are not edited live together the way pages are. If someone else saves the same deck while you have it open, Aurora tells you instead of saving over their changes, and offers to open the saved version.
Export
When you export a workspace, each presentation is written out as Markdown, with the slides separated by horizontal rules.
